GERMANY

Sarotti is a German chocolate brand owned by Stollwerck GmbH since 1998.In 1868 Hugo Hoffmann opened a company to produce sweets. The location of this shop was in Mohrenstraße 10 in Berlin. The industrial chocolate production took place on Mehringdamm No. 57 (then Belle-Alliance-Str. 81) since 1881, extended by Mehringdamm No. 55 in 1903 (then Belle-Alliance-Str. 82) and Mehringdamm No. 53 in 1906 (then Belle-Alliance-Str. 83). In 1913 the factory moved into a new building on Teilestraße 13–15 in Tempelhof, now part of Berlin.
The Sarotti-Moor (Mohr) was created in 1918 for the 50 year anniversary of the company. In 1929 Nestlé became the majority stockholder in the company. This traditional German brand is only known in its home market. In 1998 Nestlé sold Sarotti to Stollwerck Chocolates, which itself became part of the Belgian Sweet Products/Baronie in 2011. In an attempt to stave off accusations of racism, the tray-carrying moor had been changed into a "mage" of golden skin colour in 2004.

Erding

Erding is a town in Bavaria, Germany, and capital of the district Erding. It had a population of 34,122 in 2004. It is twinned with Bastia in Corsica.
The original Erdinger Weissbier is a well-known Bavarian specialty. Grünbacher is one of the better-known local brands.
Erding is located around 45 kilometers northeast of central Munich, about a 40-minute drive by car. Regular S-Bahn trains connect to Munich and beyond.
Evidence of prehistoric hunter/gatherers in the Erding area dates to c. 6000 BC, findings including an axe made of deer antler. Excavations of 2 dwellings of at least 6.5 metres in length near Altenerding from c. 2500 BC provides the first evidence of permanent agricultural based inhabitants, while some 20 early Bronze Age graveyards from c. 1800 BC have been found in Langenpriesing.
Erding was founded in 1228-1230 AD, developing as a township as an alternative route from Landshut to Munich. Erding became known as a border town, midway between the two rival cities. During the Thirty Years' War, Erding was taken twice by Swedish troops, who plundered it and set it on fire.
In 1945, several Allied air raids on the nearby military airport damaged the city and killed numerous inhabitants.
On March 24, 1950; three Douglas DC-3s from Czechoslovakia were simultaneously hijacked. All three planes landed in Erding, West Germany. 26 of 85 passengers stayed in West Germany to escape from the Communist regime in Czechoslovakia.
In 1972 Erding was connected to the Munich’s S-Bahn network. In 1992 the Franz Josef Strauss Airport – more commonly known as Munich airport – was opened. The decision to build a major airport on the ecologically sensitive Erdinger Moos was a source of controversy during the previous decade. The airport has attracted new businesses and additional population to the area since it was opened.
2005 - Felix Schutz was selected in the 2006 NHL entry draft 4th round (117th overall) making history as the first person from Erding ever drafted.

Thank you soo much Theo fo your nice car like this very much :)

A Hedgehog...

A hedgehog is any of the spiny mammals of the subfamily Erinaceinae, which is in order Erinaceomorpha. There are seventeen species of hedgehog in five genera, found through parts of Europe, Asia, Africa and New Zealand (by introduction). There are no hedgehogs native to Australia, and no living species native to the Americas. Hedgehogs share distant ancestry with shrews (family Soricidae), with gymnures possibly being the intermediate link, and have changed little over the last 15 million years.[2] Like many of the first mammals, they have adapted to a nocturnal way of life.[3] Hedgehogs' spiny protection resembles that of the unrelated rodent porcupines and monotreme echidnas.
The name hedgehog came into use around the year 1450, derived from the Middle English heyghoge, from heyg, hegge ("hedge"), because it frequents hedgerows, and hoge, hogge ("hog"), from its piglike snout.[4] Other names include urchin, hedgepig and furze-pig. The collective noun for a group of hedgehogs is array or prickle.

Norderney

Norderney Since 10 July 1928 the coat of arms of the city of Norderney depicts the local landmark, the "Kap," or cape building. A dune and water is shown underneath. Such high structures helped mariners identify the island and orient themselves in earlier times. There are similar buildings on Borkum and Wangerooge. The Norderney cape building was built in 1848 from wood, and was replaced in 1870 with a stone building. At night a fire was lit in the top part of the structure. Today lighthouses have taken over this function. The island painter Poppe Folkerts designed the coat of arms.Norderney has a maritime temperate climate, with generally less extreme temperatures than on the nearby mainland.

Norderney is one of the seven populated East Frisian Islands off the North Sea coast of Germany. It is also a municipality in the district of Aurich in Lower Saxony.

The island is 14 km long and about 2.5 km wide, having a total area of about 26.3 square kilometres (10.2 sq mi) and is therefore Germany's tenth largest island. Norderney's population amounts to about 6,200 people. In 1946 Norderney gained municipal status and belongs to the Aurich "Kreis" (county). On the northern side of the island lies a 14 km long sandy beach.

The neighbouring island to the east is Baltrum, which lies about 800m (half a mile) away beyond the Wichter Ee. To the west is the island of Juist, about 3 km away on the other side of the Norderneyer Seegatt.

thank you soo much Verera for a nice card :)
